Daing na Dagupan Bangus

Pork Nilaga with Sitaw at Talbos ng Sitaw (Pork Stew with String Beans and String Beans Tops)




Ingredients:



  • 1/2 kilo pork
  • 1 cup string beans (sitaw)
  • 1 cup string beans tops (talbos ng sitaw)
  • 1 medium sized ginger, sliced
  • 1 medium sized shallot, sliced
  • bagoong monamon, strained


Procedure:



  1. Boil the pork in 2 to 3 cups of water together with the sliced ginger and shallot for at least 30 to 45 minutes until tender.
  2. Add water if needed then pour some strained bagoong monamon to taste. About 4 tbsp. or according to your preference.
  3. Add the string beans and let it simmer for about 3 minutes then put the string beans tops.
  4. Allow for the leaves to cook for another 3 minutes then you're done!
  5. Easy A?! =)
