Most of the time, i use ingredients that serve as an alternative but nearest to its flavor. Sometimes i lack one or more ingredients from the original and sometimes i recreate and introduce new flavors to a dish.

KARAAGE

Ingredients:
Chicken thigh & leg, ½ kg, deboned
Cooking Oil, for frying
Cornstarch, for chicken coating

~Marinade~
Ginger Powder, 2-3 tsp
Salt, 1 tsp
White Sgar 1 tsp
Regular Soy Sauce, 1 tsp
Sake, 1 tsp
Water ¼ cup
Melted Onion Paste, 2-4 tbsp or 2 tsp onion powder
Egg, 1 pc
All-Purpose Flour, 2 tbsp
Cornstarch, 2 tbsp
Sesame Oil, 1 tbsp

~Side Dish: Stir Fried Vegetables~
Cooking Oil, used in frying chicken
Carrots, sliced
Cabbage, Chopped
Salt/ Soy Sauce
Roasted Sesame Seeds

~Dipping Sauce~
Soy Sauce, 4 tsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Mirin, 4 tsp
Sesame Oil, 1 tsp
Onion Leaves, 1 tbsp, chopped
