Daing na Dagupan Bangus

Tinolang Manok sa Papaya




Ingredients:



  • 1 kilo chicken
  • 1 kilo unripe papaya, sliced (see picture)
  • 1 medium sized ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped
  • dahon ng sili (chili leaves)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • patis (fish sauce)
  • cooking oil
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 Knorr Chicken Broth Cube


Procedure:



  1. In a large pot, saute the ginger first until golden brown then add in the onions and garlic. When the onions is already translucent, add in the chicken.
  2. Saute chicken until it becomes white. Pour 3 tablespoons patis and black pepper to taste. Stir then pour the water.
  3. Add in the Knorr chicken broth cube then let it boil for about 5 minutes then add in the papaya.
  4. Let it simmer for until papaya is ready. Do not over cook.
  5. Add the chili leaves 1 minute before you turn off the fire.
  6. Correct the taste according to your preference.
  7. Best served hot and with rice! Easy A? =)
