Simple Pork Binagoongan Recipe




Ingredients:

1/2 kilo port liempo cut into serving pirces
1/2 cup shrimp bagoong or alamang
1 bulb minced garlic
1 bulb medium sized minced onion
3 medium sized chopped riped tomatoes
1 teaspoon Philippine bird's eye pepper (siling labuyo)
1 teaspoon Long green pepper (siling haba)
5 tablespoon vinegar
3 tablespoon brown sugar

Procedure:

  1. Boil the pork into a pan with at least 2-3 cups of water until tender. Add water when needed. Boil together with the vinegar and sugar.
  2. When the water is fully absorbed by the pork and the pork's oil are starting to come out, add the shrimp bagoong, minced garlic, onion and tomatoes. Stir fry using the pork's own oil.
  3. After a few minutes, when the pork's edges are turning brown add the siling labuyo and siling haba.
  4. Simmer for at least a minute.
  5. Then you're done! Enjoy! =)
