Daing na Dagupan Bangus

Hotdog Chao Fan




Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb rice, cold, cooked, preferably from yesterday's leftover.
  • hotdogs, 2 jumbo pieces, diced
  • cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • sugar
  • soy sauce
  • butter
  • spanish paprika
  • basil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 medium sized carrot, diced
  • 1 medium sized bell pepper, diced

  • scrambled egg:

  • 2 eggs, beaten
    pinch of salt
    pinch of dried oregano flakes
    cooking oil for frying


    Procedure:



    1. Prepare all the ingredients. Chop garlic and onions. Dice the carrot and bell pepper.




    2. Scramble eggs and fry the diced hotdogs. Set aside.



    3. From the frying pan used for scrambled eggs and hotdogs, melt the 1 tbsp butter under medium fire.


    4. Saute the chopped garlic until golden brown.


    5. When garlic is already golden brown, saute all together the chopped onions, bell pepper and carrots.


    6. When the onions are already translucent, add in the cooked rice. Mix and Fry.


    7. Add in about 1 tbsp olive oil while frying.


    8. Season with Basil Leaves.


    9. Season with Spanish Paprika.
    10. Pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Also add in 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tbsp of soy sauce. Correct according to your preferred taste.
    11. Toss and turn, mix and fry. Just before you turn off the fire, mix in the scrambled egg and fried hotdogs.
    12. Best served hot. Enjoy! =)
