Dinengdeng

Ingredients:

• 1 cup string beans; cut into 2" long
• 2 cups green papaya; sliced
• 1 cup kamansi/ seeded breadfruit; sliced into 2" cubes
• 1 bulb onion; sliced
• 1 medium sized ginger; washed and pounded
• 1 tbsp boneless bagoong monamon
• 1 tbsp small shrimps
• 3 cups water

Procedure:

• In a casserole, bring water to boil.
• Add onion, ginger, bagoong monamon. Let stand for 3 minutes.
• Remove the scum that rises on top of the liquid and then drop the kamansi.
• Simmer for at least 5 minutes then drop the papaya.
• Simmer again for another 5 minutes then drop the string beans.
• Simmer for 3 minutes until vegetables are done.
• Add the shrimps and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
• Adjust seasoning according to taste. Serve hot!
